Sarah Fowler the Founder of SCDGA created The Complete Professional Dog Groomers Course for dog lovers whose dream was to never leave their dog!! They could earn a good income and finally achieve their dream of a work/life balance.

After completing her A-Levels and Retail Management degree at Bournemouth University, Sarah’s love of her King Charles Cavaliers gave her the taste for dog grooming. Sarah went onto to study for her City & Guilds and attended numerous workshops and seminars in Essex to develop her artistic flair and build on her talent for dog handling. Sarah was keen to pass on her best practice so went on to study for her L3 Education & Training certificate. She then went on to complete The Fundamentals of Education, LGBTQ + Awareness Training and Understanding Anxiety (CPD). This has given Sarah the confidence to train all students from all backgrounds. She has the knowledge and skills to get the best out of every student that joins the academy. Sarah’s patience and positivity ensures every student completes the course to the best of their ability.
Sarah opened her own dog grooming salon Canine Design in 2016 and the salon has gone from strength to strength. Sarah offered an In-House training programme from her salon over the past three years and has helped train and launch many dog groomers careers. As the demand and popularity of the course has grown the academy at Worthing was born!
